Sending Pictures to Flickr
Flickr is the cream of the crop photo sharing, archiving and utility Website. It may not be as popular and business-minded shutterfly or ofoto, but it is definitely gaining in popularity. Yahoo was smart to have bought it at a relatively early stage (still technically in beta). Although I have no idea what they paid for the business but it would be worth a lot more a year from now. One of the things they did right is to offer a plethra of image uploading methods. here are just a few to mention.
1. Web upload via form
2. Standalone local software client
3. Bookmarklet from any Web page
4. Windows Explorer via registry mod
5. Email (moblog style)
If you haven't tried it, check it out for yourself free at flickr.com.

Build your own wind turbine
This website shows you how to build your own wind power generator. Wind generators are starting to be price competitive with fossil fuel sources where as photovoltaic is still around 3 to 5 times more. Here in California, there is a bill about to pass that will require more than half of all homes built to be powered by green (primarily photovoltaic) supplies.
